I had BMX in Dec., 2015 and my exchange surgery in April, 2016

My ps did not want to listen to what I wanted r my concerns. I also wanted smaller boobs. Told him I was tired of DD'S. He did not want to listen so I told my Dr I would not do the double masctomy if I could not have reduction. Instead I did 10 treatments of targeted radiation.
@A MyBCTeam Member It shouldn't be on your own dime,,, it's the law, your insurance HAS to cover it. It's a treatment for a disease.
I told my pc I want small boobs, she said it wouldn't go with my body type,, but why do I care? I was adamant and now she says she can't do the reconstruction until much later after the surgery. When she wanted to do big boobs, she was going to do it at the same time of the mastectomy. So I opted out. I will have no boobs instead.
Your ps should have asked what size specifically you wanted. Did you discuss and agree on a large C? I had one A and one B and wanted a size D but they couldn't go that big so said they'd give me a large C. A couple weeks after surgery I felt they were too big but I was still swollen. A couple of month later I was happy with and used to the results. Since I was always on the smaller side, I always wanted bigger. And was hoping the bigger size would make my waist look smaller. lol.
I'm overweight and my PS choice the size and type of implant for me. I'm a 40C and happy with the results.
