I signed up and yes I did get some hair back, but very thin. Some women didnt get any hair regrowth. Read the entire article. It talks about other side effects nobody was warned about and it is an expensive chemo and was pushed.

Yes, I did sign up. I have some hair but nothing like before, and I'm nearly bald on top all the way. I had gorgeous, long blond hair before and it was my signature. I am more upset about losing my hair than my breasts, honestly. Yes, I am grateful to be alive, but had I been given the option of another drug that wouldn't cause permanent hair loss, of course I would have chosen it. Had I known I'd remain bald, I would have perhaps given a little more pause to treatment options. In any case, it was an option I wasn't given. I'm only 49 and admittedly a vain person. Another thing cancer took from me, and it pisses me off. :/
I finished Taxotere two years ago. I have some whispy hair, but not enough to look normal. I'm still wearing wigs. Has anybody found a solution to this? I am in another country so can't be part of the lawsuit but all I really care about is getting my hair back.

Good for you! I had taxotere but used cold caps and have my hair back (not anywhere near how it was pre bc(, however there is still significant damage on the ends- I don't know what the situation would be if I did not use cold caps to prevent hair loss while taking taxotere. I do have muscle spasms, joint/muscle pain and residual eye watering lingering from taxotere among other things. I read it can damage muscle tissue as well. Some people get sensitive about the lawsuit but I think its more about not being informed and making an informed decision! Knowing the permanency of side effects might have caused some of us to choose a different medication!

@A MyBCTeam Member, you should talk to a lawyer and join! After radiation, I denied taking any pill for 5 yrs. etc... side effects! I read about women who have been taking their meds after and the the cancer metastasize!
