There is nothing wrong with not waiting. Call your onc office talk to the nuarsenal explain maybe you may need an appointment with them. Never forget you do not have to wait when it comes to questions about your health.

I have an acquaintance who is Stage IV but chose to go ahead and have a BMX and reconstruction. She is in her 40s and has no intention of leaving anytime soon. The surgery gave her hope for the future!

@A MyBCTeam Member I had pain in my hip, thought I have strained a muscle. At the time I was rotating yoga, pilates, aerobic, swimming, walking... just very active. This was last November. I went to my family doctor urgent care. They did an x-ray and found out the cancer has spread.

I don't know about tram or deip, but as implants are placed under the pectoral, all tissue from that point to the surface is pushed out. I had an ultrasound recently of the entire area and it was incredible how thin the skin/muscle is over the implant. My surgeon corroborated what my RO said, that a lesion at this site would be pretty easy to perceive as a result. My query was related to my occult primary status and the possibility that a recurrence would present the same way. According to my team, it would theoretically be easier to catch.

As far as to do it not to do, it's true. Any stress ( say, surgery) *may* take away valuable immune resources while your trying to beat down mets. Having said that, I'm a huge proponent of maximizing my life today. If my team felt I could handle surgery and remain at least stable with regard to mets I'd probably go ahead if boobage meant a lot to me.

This scares me. I have a sensation in my back, but can't really call it a pain. My dr doesn't feel the need for a scan because the radiation is more harmful.
