I read somewhere people are using Tart Cherry supplements. Is it for inflammation or what? Anyone have any experiences to share? Thanks!
Post surgery a friend gave me a bottle of cherry juice to use in water/fruit juice. As @A MyBCTeam Member and others have noted, it's to lessen inflammation. Reducing inflammation helps to control or inhibit the development / growth of cancer cells - as some in the medical community have written.

It improves you sleep quality! Read the article from Prevention Magazine. It works like you wish drinking a glass of wine would work (so it's better).
I have dark tart cherries in my smoothie every morning. Dark tart cherries are an anti-inflammatory and they improve your sleep. They don't make you sleepy like meds will but rather they improve your sleep. I will take a look at the articles posted above but I believe the anti-inflammatory properties would play a role in improving one's sleep - but that is just a guess. :-)
With respect to the comment above about turmeric, yes, very important anti-inflammatory when combined with a tiny bit of black pepper. I take that as well to help with minimizing osteoarthritis pain.
A few years ago Dr Oz spoke of it as a sleep aid but never helped me. If you have problems w sleep look up 'Calm Day'... I am no longer on any prescription sleep aids like lunesta or Zoloft which I was on since having kids my holistic dr gave them to me...u can buy it on the internet the main ingredient is gaba it is for a anexity and sleep...I added holistic support to my traditional treatment and I am so glad I did. If for anything else finding sleep.
