I take Arimidex and was told it is for post menopausal patients, I am 74 years old and have been taking it for a year now.

I started taking it in 2004 and took it for 5 years. That was the protocol at the time. Had a double mastectomy last Summer because of new DCIS and LCIS. Wish I had been told to stay on it!

I was told tamix for ten but if I go into full menopause will change to an AI instead. I would love to stop it and be a rebel but I heard a story about a gal who took it for ten yrs and cancer came back right after stopping it. Waa. I am chickenshit to stop it now.

Eileen, I also had invasive lobular and am on tamoxifen . My onc said after 5 years I will need to change to a al type of med . Post menopause - Hope the side effects will be ok 😊

I have had wrist pain since the end of Dec.. Oncologist says it is probably arthritis so to take ibuprofen. I hate pill pushing.
