Yes - I had er + pr + and her2 - stage IIB IDC. I had genetic testing pre-op and did not carry any of the twenty some odd genes they tested for, I had not evidence of lymph node involvement. I went through a major university hospital (University of Maryland Medical Center) and was told I would probably need some chemo and radiation but they wouldn't decide till the surgery was done. Post - op they found I did have lymph node involvement - in fact in the first three sentinel nodes it had grown through the node as had just started invading the surrounding tissues. They did genetic testing on the tumor, that was when they confirmed 6 months/treatments of chemo and 12 weeks radiation. I think its just impossible to guess because everyone's cancer is genetically variable.

I did! My Oncotype score is 44 and don't want chemo! I'm sorry but I just don't believe in it! Scared to death to commit to saying no but my heart is screaming NO! What did you end up doing?? Hugs!!

Yes, if your oncotype is high chemo would probably be recommended whether you have lymph involvement or not. At least that is my understanding of it, since it supposedly measures chance of relapse.
