Has anyone experienced dry eyes and a dry-sore nose during chemo? I'm having a hard time wearing my contacts. Not sure if it's a side effect or maybe just the weather. I see my oncologist Thursday so I plan on asking.

I experienced dry eyes so I wore my glasses instead of my contacts. I carried my eye drops & used that frequently. The nose was a problem. It had sores, I was given A&D ointment, used Vaseline, nasal saline drops, sorry to say nothing really helped. Finally about 6 months after chemo ended I started to get some relief. But I suggest you see an ENT, he helped a little.

I have the dry eyes and dry nose to the point where there is blood in my tissue. It's a side effect of chemo and in time should go away. At least this is what I have been told.

I am taking chemo treatments now. My dr suggested just using liquid tears. It has been amazing how much of a difference they make. I can use them about as mush as I need to. My nose seems to be dripping all the time. Which I was told was part of the chemo as well.
