I am on Letrazole, and see a naturopath as well as my oncologist. Have you tried acupuncture? If you haven't I suggest it before you quit the Letrazole, it helps immensely with side effects(bone pains and joint stiffness, and even decreases hot flashes). Talk to your oncologist first before you try acupuncture or any other supplements etc.

This is the direction the medical community is going. If you looked at the website for Cancer Centers of America they use this concept including using naturopaths, acupunturists, nutritionist, yoga, massage therapist, etc. Need to remember that medication is a 'poison' it uses chemicals to make the medication. If you ever know anyone on warfarin/coumadin it is rat poison. I personally feel that eating alkaline foods and seeing a naturopath is the way to go.

I'm actually looking at gastric bypass surgery and the program I'm going through is integrative/multidisciplinary approach from NP, to nutritionist, to PT (exercise), etc. I'm also seeing a chiropractor in order to remove blockages so my nerves can talk to my organs, brain, and spine.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will start with the oncologist. She doesn't feel that my side effects are caused by the Letrazole. I will let you know where this adventure leads.

Please give me a little more information. I am so anxious to stop Letrozole. I have done some searching but I am only finding estrogen blockers for men.

I took took a natural path post surgery. I did take Letrozole for almost 2 months. The side effects were awful and they only prescribed a 2nd medication to offset the first. So I went off all meds and am taking an estrogen blocker that is natural (DIM) instead.
