Flaxy- This is my 4th time with the same cancerIDC estrogen positive. This time it had mets to my bones and lymphnodes and a tumor in my axilla which caused lymphedema and neuropathy in my arm. I was on armomasin and it worked for a yr. Then it stopped working last April and nothing that I have been on has really worked since then. I'm positive though that something else will work. I take comfort in the fact that I have a slow growing cancer according to my onco. I still feel fear and disappointment.I understand but feel it is too early to give up! Hugs

Flaxy- I have many of the same feelings that you are experiencing. Xeloda worked for me for about 3 mo and now my tumor marker test is over 100[up from 88 last month. My onco said if the Xeloda stopps working he will put me on Ibrance/Letrozole. I'm getting very discouraged, but refuse to stop fighting. Every life is precious including yours. I have a feeling that you have many family members who love you! I fight for my grandchildren who are 14 and 12. We have a special bond and they need me now especially because their parents divorced this past year. What side effects did you have with Ibrance? I'm sending you hugs,Marty

I have a brand new liver lesion discovered next to tons of new bone mets. I am starting Xeloda tomorrow morning; Ibrance and Letrozole didn't work for me. I also get Zometa every month but that didn't really work either.I think they want to try Xgeva? I don't know I get so mixed up. Sometimes this all seems so pointless. I don't have children or a husband so this "fighting" thing is not something I owe to anybody. I feel awful that there are so many Stage IV girls out there this is so much bullshit. I've been on faslodex since February 2015 and while I haven't had a pet scan since then, my tumor markers drop monthly. I agree they hurt to get but I don't suffer any major side effects that I'm aware of. I'm also on xgeva

I have been on Faslodex for about a year now, I think, and I have had great results with it. My tumors have not spread and have not gotten any bigger. I am happy with that. I get scans every 3 months and we evaluate my treatment plan each time. My oncologist is wonderful.
