I see my oncologist every three months, but I had stage 3b triple negative breast cancer. I think it is based on your type and stage of cancer. You can always call you oncologist and ask to have your blood work checked every 3 to 6 months if the time frame is making your nervous. They are normally always willing to see you more often if you would like.

It seems to me frequency of follow up appointments varies by BC type and treatment, not just stage. Yearly appts seems positive because I think they don't feel you need frequent monitoring for long term side effects or a recurrence. BUT I think if you are concerned, you should call your oncology team and ask why they are annually. If you still don't feel right about that, get a second opinion.

Bilateral Mastectomy in April... Stage 1 IDC and some DCIS. Every 4 months is my visit...After 4 months on Tamoxifen, with the blessings of my Onc, went off it...now she wants to keep a little closer eye one me, otherwise, I wouldn't have to go back for 6 months

I'll be almost 4 1/2 years from diagnosis when I see my oncologist for my 6 month app next month. As long as I'm on aromasin I hope I still go at least twice a year.

stage 2B, first 2 years every 3 months, next year every 6 months, once a year now. I loved my graduations :)
