Tamoxifen is the 'gold standard' for estrogen blocking, but now is more often used for pre or peri-menopausal women since the three aromatase inhibitors have been found to be more effective for post menopausal women. Assuming you are post menopausal, try Arimidex and Aromasin first, before you opt for Tamoxifen (which is still much better for post-menopausal women than nothing!).

I quit taking Femara after 3 weeks....2 trigger thumbs and terrible joint pain and I STILL have flare ups from it!
NO THANKS to their miracle meds!

Have you tried Arimidex or Aromasin? From what I've read, they all have about the same effectiveness in blocking estrogen, but different women have different sensitivities. Maybe try one of the other two AIs?

I was on Letrozole for a year, got off of it in June. I'm still feeling the side effects, muscle weakness in all four limbs, right knee that hyperextends, and now it feels like the left knee is going.I was walking about a mile a day before this happened, going natural from here on out.

A lot of D3 and water. After 4 1/2 years I am fine. You have the same stacks I have. 😘
