I've finished my 4th round and within 5 seconds of walking my muscles burn like I've ran a marathon. The MO says it has to do with my a high heartbeat related to chemo (he says its normal) and something about blood and oxygen flow to these muscles. He said it will go away within 4-6 weeks. Has anyone had this occurrence? Did it go away?

Just took my last taxol today. So glad you asked this question! My thighs have been killing me. My oncoligist looks at me like I'm crazy when I tell her about it. Mine hurt the most when I go from standing to sitting. Its terrible. Now I don't feel so crazy! lol

Yes, yes, yes I just got back from the oncologist today. We discussed this at length because I had it all during taxol treatments. My last taxol was Dec. 24, 2014 and now it is Feb 26, 2015. I think the thigh pain should be gone but he said it could take up to 6 months. Talked a lot about oxygen flow to those muscles, inactivity due to fatigue, and neuropathy symptoms. The pain is mostly NOW just when I have to get up from a sitting position, but while doing taxol treatments it was horrible. So glad it is some better. Not really nothing they can do for it. Hope you can get some relief soon. It hurts and is so annoying to have to hold onto something like an old granny woman every time you get up.

I am sorry you still have pain and side effects. Mine is subsiding after having been off of chemo for the last 4 months. try to be as active as possible and talk to your doctor, I am sure you have done that tho. I will be hoping that it goes away.
