Even though I drink green tea, someone told me that Echincea tea is good for the immune system. I also read that it helps the white blood cells. Is it ok to drink this tea during treatment? Is there any other types of food that can boost the white blood cells?

My counts got really low and had to delay chemo a couple of times. I did a lot of research and unfortunately there was nothing proven to help the immune system, my oncologist confirmed that. I would use something and the next blood draw my counts would be lower! Just try to eat healthy on general and get plenty of rest!

You can boost your WBC with the right foods!! Garlic, bell peppers and more. You can google it too!! Stay away from Caffine or sugars because this makes your pain worse!!

I'll explore more of the Mediterranean diet, for sure. I love garlic and onions! Shallots, too. I'll try that trick with the tumeric. I do love brown rice, especially with fresh lime juice, olive oil, sea salt and fresh cilantro. The moringa olifiera plant grows in about 80+ countries and this one plant has about 92 nutrients. It is quite impressive! It has some anti-cancer properties.

Thank you Annie, your story is very inspiring. I'm afraid I don't have link to recipes, most everything I make I watched my mother cook, many dishes I just add a little of this and a little of that. I typically cook a lot of vegetables with onions and garlic,I try to make more fish, but it's hard to find wild varieties and not farmed. Try adding turmeric to dishes that call for tomato sauce, you won't even notice the flavor. I add it to brown rice too. What is the Moringa plant?

I will pray for you, that it will not advance, and that you enjoy many, many years to come! So glad you are doing all you can to stay abreast of things. I am in this phrase right now where I am drinking barley grass, drinking apple cider vinegar in purified water, and doing the cottage cheese/flaxseed oil, too. I take vitamin D3 each day, and eat a big organic salad at lunch. I want to learn to eat Mediterranean!!!! I bought some Mediterranean sardines the other day and loved them. Do you have any good recipes or links you can share? I am really into spices, and go to a gourmet spice shop in our town. I like an Ethiopian seasoning blend I wish I liked turmeric more. I like it okay, but not crazy about it. Have you heard of the Moringa plant?
