I stared at the bottle for 2 weeks before I put one of the Tamoxifen pills in my mouth. After reading all of side effects others had suffered, I was terrified to start taking it. I have been on Tamoxifen for a little over 2 months now and have experienced no side effects. I had hot flashes before and I still get them occasionally, but I also take Calcium/Magnesium supplements, which keeps them at bay.

I have mild side effects- started late October 2014. I take it at 9:30pm I have an occasional mild hot flash and sometimes my ankles hurt. I retain water a little easier than before and the first few weeks I had a mild but nagging headache. They've since subsided. So far so good. Nothing unbearable. Oh! My skin is dryer but I was oily before so not horrible.

The one I experience that is horrible is vaginal dryness, extreme. Makes sex difficult. Started out with hot flashes but the eased off.
