Couple months and lasted about 8 months. They do go away eventually.
For me it was severe enough within the first couple of weeks that I discontinued, choosing quality of life over the possibility of recurrence.
@A MyBCTeam Member, I have been on Arimidex since June and either I'm not having any of the usual side effects or I was having them from other things and don't notice them. I haven't had any problems. @A MyBCTeam Member, I did try Faslodex injections in early May and was so nauseous after the first one that I refused to take any more of them. Since I was already scheduled to have my ovaries removed, my oncologist didn't fight me on it.
I have made some changes since I last posted. My primary changed my blood pressure med, which helped. I also changed the time of day I take the anastrozole. Night and day in the first 24 hours. Try different times. For me, it's bedtime. Everyone seems different, but a lot of people seem to have a time that makes the side effects better. Sounds crazy, I know, but it can't hurt. I moved it three hours at a time to find the best time and to not have too little or too much time between taking it.
2 months and no problems.
