I had my SNB on July 21st. I was still having some numbness with some shooting pain spiraling up my right arm if I lifted it too high. I had my MX on August 21st. Now I can't tell if the numbness/pain is still from SNB or mastectomy with reconstruction. I just keep working on increasing my range of motion in my arm/shoulder.

So true, VickiAnn! Never having had nerve pain before...this was a painful surprise. But it is diminishing now and my arm is feeling like it's an arm. Sheesh! Can't wait to find out what rads will do.

Thanks, ladies for your replies. I find that cold compresses help me immensely. I finally sense the numbness easing up and the raw burning going away. I had no idea that the SNB would be more painful than the lumpectomy.

I had lumpectomy and SNB on Aug 22nd. 13 nodes removed. I feel treat today..first day of relief. Minor tenderness today and sensitive at back of upper arm but no numbness!!! So grateful!
