I was prescribed aromasin because I couldn't take tamoxifen due to blood clots. Hot flashes are a common side effect. So is joint pain. I have good days and bad days on the drugs. I think femara has the least side effects of the aromatase inhibitors. I also tried Effexor for the hot flashes. It worked, but I felt it was making me too sleepy, so I stopped taking it.

My Dr. put on Letrozole for the next 5years.I didn't have too much side effects but I put on a lot of weight.Guess we can win all.

I'm on Femara and having one of the rare side effects which is cold flashes.

I took Arimidex first and it hurt my joints so badly I could hardly walk. I have been on Femara ever since and the only problems I have are some hot flashes now and then.

I can't take Tamofloxin because it give me blood clots as a side effect.
