I had the same chemo, from dec. 17th to feb. 18th. My doctor and my nurse gave me a list of all the possible side effects, and medication to help: mouthwash for ulcers, meds for nausea, diarrhea, pain... It went quite well for me. My main side effect was fatigue, especially the first week. Then, I was better week 2 and 3. I even managed to work part time (I have my own business). I did not have to take many of the medication. Honestly, it went better then what I was expecting. Hope it will be the same for you. For now, just try to rest a lot. The wait is the worse. Once it starts, just take it one day at the time.

Oh also.....you will get mouth sores. I found that swishing with L-glutamine helps quite a lot. I got the advice from a person on here. It really helped. We found it at walgreens I think. Swish for 2 mins. And swallow.

I just finshed 4 rounds of TC. The first round was like morning sickness, the 2nd I had an itchy rash behind my neck and numbness in my fingers. The 3rd treatment was pretty mild, mostly neuropathy in the hands. The 4th treatment was the worst. No rash, 5 days of neuropthy, bad nausea and tiredness. You can get thru this. Each treatment may feel different....the 3rd one hubby and I were asking eachother if they even gave me the TC. Lol. Best of luck to you my dear

I am going for treatment #5 this week. Ice your fingers and toes during your infusion. I have had no neuropathy.
