I am asking this question for someone else but has anyone had either nipple tattooing or actual nipple reconstruction and if so what was your partner's response? Do they want to fondle or lick them? Or are they aware of your lack of response there? Do they avoid them? Thanks for any help you can offer.
I haven't gotten any nipple reconstruction of any kind and my husband still treats my foobs like they are real, which includes fondling, licking, etc.
I figure if it does it for him and doesn't much bother me... no harm done.
I elected not to get reconstruction. It was my husband who actually didn't want me to. It bothers him whenever i'm in the hospital getting surgery or such and didn't want me to have another unnessarry one. Told me we have been married going on 40 years and he still looks at me like I was 17. Its me that it bothers mostly. He even trys to be gentle and when he holds me never gives the impression i'm repulsive or anything. He is a good man.I have a crochet breast that has a nipple which I put a piercing in...LOL. somedays at night I just pull it out and toss on my desk..He told me once he didn't marry me for my breast.
I attempted nipple reconstruction after 2 yrs out from double mastectomy. that began a sequence of problems I still deal with. because of radiation on right side 5 yrs earlier, that side had difficulty healing. I was all healed up with 2 beautiful reconstructed breasts. left nipple was left in tact. when Dr made incision for fake nipple on right, it was a big mistake....9 surgeries followed. and it's been 9 mos since the last surgery and I'm still not healed. I'm exhausted and terrified. I avoid surgery now because it only seems to make things worse due to the radiation damage. if I knew then what I know now, I would have never gotten radiation and I would have never attempted a nipple reconstruction. but for those of you that have to have radiation, just remember you will not heal the same in that area so try to avoid any absolutely unnecessary incisions on that side. it's been a long, exhausting journey. I now wash hair in sink and take a bath in an attempt to keep scabs intact. but that's the best I get. scabs. 3 pencil eraser sized scabs. if I shower, they come off. then I get infection and it's much worse cause I don't feel well. after antibiotics, infection leaves but only return to 3 scabs again.
best of luck ladies. sorry to be barer of bad news but if I'd known, I'd be healed right now.
LOL
I had nipple reconstruction and my fiance did with them the same thing he did with my real nipples.
