I was just discussing this chain w my mother tonight. After my right nipple scabbed and recovered it healed considerably lighter than the left. My nipple and areola are pretty much the same color as the rest of the skin on my breast.

Yes. My right nipple, which is also the side on which I had nodes removed, turned dark purple. It scared me very much, but the doctors said it was normal. It actually scanned and peeled and then went back to normal. Hang in there, this too shall pass.

In the 18 months since my nipple sparing the color of both nipples have faded to invisible. I'm looking for a tatoo option now

Just a 10 month follow up. . .I had a little bit of color come back in the areas that lost it, but there are still definite areas of depigmentation. Considering tattoing fix it, though contemplating keeping these pink battle scars!

i'm 3 1/2 years out and my right nipple is still "faded" considerably lighter. not changed yet. sorry, I know that's not encouraging.
