I finished chemo on Aug 1st and finished rads on 10/10. Partial knee replacement surgery is scheduled for 11/15.
I finished chemo in August, radiation in mid October, and had a complete hysterectomy just a week before Christmas if that helps.
I will be having a hysterectomy after completing radiation (11/11), and my oncologist said 4-6 weeks. I finished chemo sept 4, so you're about a month ahead of me. Congrats on finishing radiation, big milestone. How's the hair? :)
Thanks for your feedback @A MyBCTeam Member. It helps to hear affirmations from someone who has walked down the same road. Yes! At the end of this month we'll be on our cruise - I can't wait! I'm not looking forward trying to fit into some of my dresses for the 2 "dress up" nights - - I gained some weight and I'm still sporting the bald look. Oh well... So how are you feeling?
Linda, since you aren't overly tired like I was, I think you should be ok.
Aren't you going on a cruise pretty soon?
@A MyBCTeam Member - The breast region is a little crispy and sore from the rads but not bad overall. I am a little bit tired but not overly. So I think I should be okay but I will get confirmation from my oncologist before I go forward. 2013 was a tough year for me health wise, so I'm looking forward to 2014 being so much better and being able to do more of the things that I love to do like dancing, gardening, exercising etc...
