Yes you are at risk.
Lower risk for sure, but still at risk.
My chemo buddy only had 2 nodes removed followed by radiation and she got a mild case of lymphedema after flying.
So it's not unheard of.
only one SNB done, I had slight lymphedema afterwards...they gave me exercises to do, took care of it...if it comes back, I do them again.
I had a sentinel node biopsy meaning only 2 sentinel nodes were removed and 1 non-sentinel was removed. My doctor/physical therapist (fellow survivor and lymphadema specialist) said I was still at risk even though its minor.
I was told the same info. From all the reading I have done it seems that if you rads it ups it some more.
I only had 4 lymph nodes taken on a sentinel lymph node biopsy and wear a lymphedema sleeve when flying. Lymphedema is nothing to take lightly -- I don't believe that there is a direct correlation between the number of nodes removed and the possibility of getting it. And, I've heard it can develop years later. I was told at a after treatment follow-up to watch that arm and call doctor if you get an infected bug bite, hang nail, etc.
