Sometimes doctors don't like to scan certain stages due to the fact that it can send you on a wild goose chase.

I would also push for a pet scan or at the very least a MRI

most wont do stage 1... Some do scans a the beginning of a diagnosis and then none after. Vid you need peace if mind ask the doctor.

@ Joni...I would certainly request one if it would make you feel more comfortable about what may be still lingering in your body. Either a CT Scan or a PET Scan may be extremely helpful and ease your mind. Hugs, Lisa

A CT scan is not the type if test that would be ordered for breast cancer. I had her2+ BC and hd a breast mri which found a second tumor we didn't know about. A couple if years after diagnosis I had unresolved pain in my liver so they did a PET scan which was clear. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and see what their standard is. Each patient and each doctor is different but you should work with him to reach a level if satisfaction that you are receiving the best care.
