I had my last chemo on April 22 and we could count hair in early June. 8 of them!! By July I had a nice buzz cut look. Also, just an FYI, I have facial hair... light little stuff... but I ended up with fuzzy hair (kind of long) along my side burns and cheeks. I shaved it off and it never came back. Someone told me that happens a lot when hair regrows. It's like that hair baby's are born with.

I remember trying to put on my wig after 3 months because I didn't think my real hair was quite long enough and decided against it. So I remember going to church one week with straight shoulder length hair and the following week, looking like a boy!! I did get a lot of stares but I was celebrating I had HAIR! It's been almost 8 months since my last chemo and it is about 2" long and extra extra curly!! :-) I have had one trim to clean it up. BUT I HAVE HAIR!! I also took Biotin to help my fingernails and hair grow back healthy. Best of Luck!!

Mine came back pretty quickly - although the texture and thickness was VERY different for a while. Right before I began my treatments, my hair was long and very thick and very curly and a light brown. I didn't want to deal with long hair falling out (I knew it would be too traumatizing for me)-- so I cut my hair VERY short (about an inch long) and dyed it a vibrant auburn (always wanted to see what I looked like as a red-head). I knew that if I hated the color, it would be okay - because my hair was going to fall out anyway! When my hair first grew back it was thin, brittle, straight and BLONDE. Then, that hair was replaced by very curly, AUBURN hair (think Little Orphan Annie - except I was 40!). Then my hair settled into it's usual brown color, with a solid wave and still thick - but not quite as thick as before. I didn't realize there would be stages like this! Don't know if that was a "normal" experience for hair-regrowth - but hey... what is normal after experiences like ours???!

I finished on July 5th and by the end of August it looked like I had a low cut...

as soon as that chemo is out of your system.. maybe about 2 to 3wks after last chemo... :)
