I know what you are describing. I have had "itchy boob" as I call it even before I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. The itch disappeared after my lumpectomy for a few months but as nerve endings were repairing during the healing process the internal itch returned. I panicked because the itching stopped when my tumor was removed so I consulted my breast surgeon. My mammogram was clear. She knew exactly what I was talking about and recommended that I take 400 units of vitamin E daily. The internal itch is gone for the most part.

I do! Like you said it really can't be scratched. My doctor told me it's my nerve endings still trying to come back. I also have it on the back side of my left arm (the one I had my lymph nodes removed)It's also numb there too.

I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and radiation almost 6 years ago. Ive developed a severe itching on the breast area that had cancer and under my arm where lymph nodes were removed. I also have what looks like a rash of red dots near my scars. The itch drives me insane sometimes and then just stops. Always in my left breast area where the cancer had been. All I can do is scratch it to help but I look like an itchy dog sometimes. If that's all I have to put up with, its ok with me. :)

Yep. I'd say it happens somewhat regularly for me. Not a ton of itching, but just enough to be kind of annoying.
