Foot pain is a "pain in the foot". I hobbled around with undiagnosed pain for 20 years before I finally found a doctor who could look beyond my weight. He put my feet in casts, got me custom orthotics and was very specific on the type of running shoe I could use with the orthotics. He saved my life because I could get back to moving around. I went thru a slew of doctors before I found this one. Keep looking for one who really looks at what is going on and considers all the options. PT can work wonders. Again you have to keep looking till you find one that helps and doesn't make it worse.

Yes! My second dose of Taxol started the neuropathy in my hands and feet. Talk with your oncologist. Mine has me taking 200 mg of Vitamin B6 each day. It is helping, ever so slowly, but helping.

Yes, I had 4 rounds of Taxotere. Heel pain started after 3rd treatment. I've been seeing a podiatrist for 8 months trying everything. It turned into plantar fasciitis. Now MRI is showing plantar fibromatosis. I wear old lady shoes (grasshoppers), custom arch supports, had 2 cortisone shots and have been in PT twice. I got checked for neuropathy and they said I don't have it. I'm trying a TENS unit now. Oncology office denies it was from chemo cause I don't have neuropathy. Very frustrating. If anyone has experienced something similar, please share what helps you. This has been going on for a year. podiatrist wants to do surgery but I'm not convinced it will help. Thanks. 5/13/14

It could be just a heel spur. I hope so.

Yes!! I was on Taxotere, Carboplatin and Herceptin. I still have foot pain after almost a year being off chemo. I slipped down stairs on my right foot, now I have "plantar fisitis?" No shoes feel comfortable unless they are sneakers.
