Recurrence

I was 10 years cancer free & found a new lump in the reconstructed Breast. Biopsy came back IDC which is the same cancer. Had left mastectomy, diep flap reconstruction, ACT chemo & arimidex for 5 years. Looking for information on treatment options. Also has anyone had a diep flap removed?

Has anyone had severe rib and inframammary fold pain after bilateral reconstruction?

I am 5 mos post reconstruction and I have terrible pain in my ribs and along my inframammary fold. The surgeon expanded me to 300cc - put in 450cc high profile implants - and moved my IMF up 2cm... all were the surgeon's decisions. I'm not feeling stupid for not asking more questions and for trusting my plastic surgeon... and I can't find anyone to help me resolve this. Anyone else's experience with this area would be so… read more

Unilateral Mastectomy, no Reconstruction

I am looking for ladies that have also had a unilateral mastectomy with no reconstruction. I might change my mind down the road, but for now I don't want more surgery. I'm wondering about long term out with the asymmetry and suggestions on bras, sports bras, etc. to manage it. Any information would be great!

Insomnia

Can Tamoxifen induce insomnia? I don't have hot flashes. I don't have night sweats. But I am having serious insomnia since beginning [[treatment:Tamoxifen:540f562a[[phone:8608758280000445]] 2.5:]] weeks ago. I'm waking every half hour or hour. I'm tossing and turning a lot...which you know is hard when you have basically one position you can lie in (on your back). I've tried taking melatonin which is not helping unfortunately.

I am in remission from a rare form of breast cancer (inflammatory bc).. Supposedly only 2% of bc's have this form.

I am under the impression that this cancer has a very high rate of returning. However, I'm confused and my oncologist isn't that helpful as she often contradicts herself. I did 8 mo.'s of chemo, double mastectomy, then 6 weeks of daily radiation, which I finished last September. I have not had re-construction yet...I don't feel very healthy and have lymphodema which I suppose doesn't go away.

Has anyone developed IBC after treatment of IDC?

Have developed a horrid looking rash under right breast and there is much pain. I haven't felt pain in a long time because I had a bilateral mastectomy and have no sensation but the pain is deep. Will call onc in the morning but was curious if anyone has experience with this. I'm not jumping to conclusions but you know how us breast cancer survivors are-we want to be informed and get on top of it if we can! My original cancer was 13 years ago.
