Has Anyone Experienced High Prices With Xeloda And Tykerb?

Has Anyone Experienced High Prices With Xeloda And Tykerb?

My oncologist wants to move my treatment to Xeloda and Tykerb. I am stage 4 and nothing to this point has really worked. So she wants to try these drugs. My insurance company (AARP United Healthcare) told me Xeloda is not covered and would cost me around $8000 per month. Tykerb is covered but is an additional $2000 per month. Is anyone on these drugs and how are you paying for them? Any help would be appreciated.

Who Has Had Xeloda, Tykerb Or Faslodex?

Ok looking for input on Xeloda, Tykerb or Faslodex - these are some names being thrown out by my oncologists as future possibilities. Not sure yet if this Kadcyla is working so those were some replacements they are looking at. Any input, experience, comments, etc on these drugs will be appreciated. Thanks!!

My insurance has a $2500 deductable. Not sure which one I will be put on, but its supposed to be for five years. Thanks for any info.

Looking For Anyone With Experience With Abraxane

Looking For Anyone With Experience With Abraxane

My second opinion doctor mentioned that if the Kadcyla stops working, he would put me back on the Herceptin and add something called Abraxane. I'm curious to see who has experience with this and what kind of side effects to expect. He says it's not as bad as docetaxel but I'm wondering if you still get sick, lose hair, etc. Anyone have experience with this?
