I completed 25 rounds of radiation therapy 2 1/2 weeks ago where I had the mastectomy on my left side and I am now trying to deal with the burns/blisters that developed. Five years in, the hairloss is even getting difficult for this pro hairstylist to manage. While I didn’t fully recover my hair following chemotherapy, what did emerge is slowly peetering out- I’m probably down 85% of my pre-treatment glory, and that is definitely not an emotionally-driven estimate.

Surgery in 4 days, just diagnosed 4 days ago.
38 years old & I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, ER & PR positive, HER2 negative breast cancer. My tumor was 6cm and have 1 lymph node involved.
Because of the size of my tumor it was recommended to do chemo first for my treatment plan. I started chemo in November and I have three more treatments to go. Next will be my surgery.

I had a lumpectomy and radiation which ended in November. My skin under the breast was very irritated by the end of the radiation and I lost the top layer of skin but it healed pretty quickly. At the end of December I noticed that by the end of the day after wearing a bra that I now know was too small I would get a line of swelling where my two breasts had rubbed against each other. 5 years agao I was diagnosed with stage 1A invasive ductal. ER/PR + HER 2 -. Had lumpectomy, negative lymph nodes (9), 4 IV chemo treatments and radiation. Maintenance Tamoxifen following.
