Anyone Having Serious Joint And Muscle Pain From Taking Hormone Blockers. I've Tried 2 So Far.

I think there is one more to try and I have to decide whether to just not take them. My mobility is so severe that I basically can do nothing, not even housework most days. I take Norco and advil, but that doesn't always help at all.

I was on Letrozole and was switched to Arominsin. This is just about as bad, if not worse on some days. Going to stay on it for a month and see how it goes.

Is anybody on Aromasin? I am on Arimidex for over 3 years. I have severe joint pains and arthritis pains. My oncologist suggested he would change my med to Aromasin if I wanted. I don't know much about Aromasin. I need some info. Is Aromasin steroidal? That is one of the concerns. How about side effects? I will decide next time I see my doctor in 4 months. I still have time to think about it. I haven't found very reliable info so far. I know we all react differently.

I have been on Tamoxifen for 2 plus years. My onco wants me to switch to an aromatase inhibitor for another 2 plus years. My other option is to stay on Tamoxifen for a total of 10 years. Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this topic?

Probiotic??

Probiotic??

I am on Arimidex and I am having a rough time finding a probiotic that doesn't interfere with it. Lots have grape seed extract which inhibits the Arimidex from working properly. Anyone find one they like and is safe??

Does Anyone Feel A Significant Drop In Your Energy Level With Arimidex?

Does Anyone Feel A Significant Drop In Your Energy Level With Arimidex?

I have been on Arimidex since November 2016. I would normally run 3 miles a day before the diagnosis and BMX in June and July2016. After surgery, I was able to get back to running eventually but since I started on Arimidex, my legs feel like 300lb tree trunks and I just don't have the energy to run even half a mile. I am still walking and have worked my way back to intervals-run a little, walk a little. But I miss my runs. Anybody else having this problem? Does it get better? Did you eventually… read more

Any Thoughts/advice About Moving From Tamoxifen To Aromatase Inhibitor? Was Told That Might Happen Post Menopause.

Any Thoughts/advice About Moving From Tamoxifen To Aromatase Inhibitor? Was Told That Might Happen Post Menopause.

I have been on Tamoxifen for two years and have not had a period since January of 2014. My oncologist had told me that after I was post menopausal for two years, he would recommend switching to an Aromatase inhibitor (think I have that name right?!?). Anyhow, I am wondering how will we know if I am truly post menopause or just missing my period due to being on Tamoxifen. Also, are there side effects with the inhibitor? If so, what are they? I have had very minimal side effects with Tamoxifen and… read more

I get Zometa infusion twice a year to counteract bone loss, and that has the positive side effect of helping to stave off recurrence.

How Do You Handle Joint Pain From Arimidex?

How Do You Handle Joint Pain From Arimidex?

I have been in Arimidex since November. Just recently I have started with joint pain. I feel like I've been run over by a bus.
What do you do to relieve the pain?

Exercise! I know that is the last thing you want to do when you feel bad but it helps me a lot. Start with a short walk and build up to longer ones.
