I'm a retired hospital pharmacist. I recall making this quite often. There are many different combinations of it around the country(USA) and world but it did supply relief to many of our patients.

Ask about the prescription mouthwash "Magic Mouthwash". I was able to avoid the mouth sores, but many of the other members here have had good luck with it!
(for me Taxotere, Carboplatin, and Herceptin 6 rounds)

I had a total of 8 chemos. 4 were of Taxoter and 4 were of cytoxan and red devil combined. You got this💪I used Biotene everyday rinse for my mouth up to 5 times a day. Kept my mouth free of sores. I'm a 13 year survivor of Stage 2 triple Negative. After #6 chemo, my oncologist cut dose of Taxoter by 10%. Due to severe dry eyes. That helped me thru #7 and 8. I did acupuncture for 5 months and it was my life savor very little side affects thru chemo radiation. I'm now a true believer in it. Hang in there. There is a light at the end of this dark tunnel💕💪

First of all, getting to round 3 is no small thing — you're halfway there! Many people do make it through all 6 rounds, and while mouth sores and rashes are common side effects, there are ways to help manage them so they're less severe. For mouth sores, some helpful tips to reduce their impact include:

- Avoid acidic foods and drinks like citrus juices
- Steer clear of spicy or very hot foods and liquids
- Try cold foods like ice pops or ice chips to soothe pain
- Stay well hydrated with water
- Brush gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush
- Ask your doctor about medicated mouth rinses or gels For rashes, it's really important to let your oncology team know as soon as one appears. They can recommend topical treatments like corticosteroids or moisturizing lotions to ease itching and discomfort. If a rash becomes infected, they may prescribe antibiotics.

The key is to report any symptoms early — don't wait for things to get worse before reaching out to your care team. You deserve to be as comfortable as possible through this! 💪
