There are some great comments on this. Those who do their own research and take responsibility for their own path are rare. Those who haven't experienced what it takes to push back against the comfortable, easiest-to-follow pathway. Sounds easy, it is not. It is scary, actually.

It is a study, not a trial.
So, perhaps the information which was not as exacting as a trial study and not completely defined led some medical groups to decide to do a trial to see if there was any promise or possibilities in its use.

Thank you Sue10 for much information. Kellene I agree there is medical neglect and tyranny. AlitaVanDolahWhite I often wander why advancement in treatment plans aren't keeping up. Great advice and information and as KarenFischbeck always be your own advocate.

I had the same low to no natural estrogen production. I was told I needed the AI’s because the body needs estrogen to function properly so it will generate fat in order to get it. Thus, the weight gain, not withstanding that being a side effect of the RX’s as well.

I felt like I was just being given the run around, especially when I suggested lowering the dosage as my body doesn’t usually need higher doses of most medications, and I do not carry the BRCA gene. Nope…didn’t happen so, I made a choice of quality of life over quantity after 3 years of misery and having my body falling apart because of the treatment regime. Within in a week or so I felt my body saying, Thank you”….

I understand it takes time to get study results, but with so much technology and gained knowledge I do not understand why advancement in treatment plans are not keeping up with other discoveries.
