Reading through the previous posts- I agree, ask about the possibility of an MRI, compression, when you are already hurting sounds terrible! Gentle hugs!

I saw the PA and she suggested waiting til I finish the antibiotic before a mammogram and ultrasound.

Sorry to hear this has happened.
1. The logic of having a mammogram with compression during mastitis and being on antibiotics. Is wrong it needs to wait until the infection has cleared.
2. Use of ice. Definitely ask about use for pain relief/ comfort measure.
3. Range of Motion? Mobility of your arm and shoulder? Are you able to do your normal exercise and movements?
4. Lymph System function agree that could be a slow down as you stated. Have you had a recent evaluation?

There are so many little symptoms that are difficult to tell until we just get a bigger signal from them. Breast cancer is a gift that gives each of us different concerns..hard to pull the pictures together.

So sorry for your pain and concern which is justified. Glad you called your MD. Please let the tech know how much pain you are having before she does the mammogram. Unless you say something, she won't know and may be able to accommodate you as much as she can. Good luck. Please let us know how you are doing.
