My chemo treatments were in 2015, and I had a total knee replacement in 2020. I still have neuropathy in both feet and still have some balance issues, so I use a cane or rollator when I walk outside the house. I don't recall any special considerations relating to my BC treatments in planning the replacement. It went very well! I also had a salpingoopherectomy 2 months prior to the knee replacement to treat a large ovarian cyst that we had been watching for some years. So again, no special considerations. Hope this helps! She will also clarify the difference between a sentinel lymph node surgery and a biopsy.

Sending positive energy about your biopsy. Hoping that they give you the all clear.
At the 4 week point after your knee surgery, are you still using a rolator or have you now progressed to a cane?
Maybe schedule biopsy and you can always reschedule if still unsteady on your feet.

I had knee replacement 4 weeks ago. I had BC surgery in July 2025 and radiation through November. Before scheduling the unexpected knee surgery, I contacted my BC team and no one had concerns about any negative interaction. Unfortunately I just had my first mammo since treatment and they have concerns so I'm getting a biopsy but waiting until I'm steadier on my feet. BTW: I'll be holding a small pity party if anyone wants to join me😬🤪
Fell a few times so had hip replaced, fell again so has rt knee . Planned to do only one. Results were good so did other one people would see me and tell me with big smile to get it done. They were correct. My biggest issue is the anxiety from BC. And getting enough sleep, and my doctors who are caring but have not been able to help me with the anxiety. I’m in remission from stage 1b lobular.
Wish I felt better.
