Hi ladies, I am 4 weeks tomorrow from DMX. I had 7 lymph nodes removed from my left armpit. About 4 days ago I developed small lumps around the axillary area and they have gotten slightly bigger. Yesterday the oncologist said she thought it was cording. Today, one of the lumps it’s 3 times bigger (the size of a penny) so I emailed my breast surgeon’s NP and they scheduled me for an u/s. She seems to think that it is fluid build up and they will drain the fluid during the u/s. Has anyone… read more

I had a seroma drained a couple of times. They numbed me up and it didn't hurt expcept for the needle stick with the numbing meds.

Suzette4, Good that you are getting an ultrasound. It's one of the best ways to identify seroma pockets. I had to have seromas drained several times after my first lumpectomy with reduction.
