I'm still waiting for a call from the oncologist office to schedule my first appointment. How long does this normally take?

I've always taken the pro-active approach. I notice you are in Florida, so am I. I'm a patient at Orlando Health. They normally contact me within 48 hours. I've dealt with cancer 6 times now and if I don't hear from them the following morning after a new diagnosis I call them myself and set up appointments with whatever doctors I need for the current diagnosis. The oncologist's office has your referral so go ahead and give them a call yourself. It will alleviate the stress you are feeling. 6 days feels like forever when you have a cancer diagnosis and you are waiting to hear back from a doctor. Good luck to you ❤️

Make sure to call them if they haven’t called you in a reasonable amount of time about 2 weeks

Thanks Susan! My appointment today was great! I feel so much better having all the steps in place and my anxiety has been relieved. Next comes meeting with the surgeon for a lumpectomy and getting that scheduled. Hope you are doing well!
