That said, I would still my oncologist and have it checked. Anyone with a cancer history should never ignore a lump.

Can breast cancer spread to the bone behind the knee?

Yes, breast cancer can metastasize to bones throughout the body, including the bones behind the knee. While bone metastasis most commonly affects the spine, ribs, pelvis, and arm and leg bones, breast cancer cells can spread to any bone in the body.

More than half of people with metastatic breast cancer develop bone metastases. The bones in your legs, including those around the knee area, are among the potential sites where breast cancer can spread.

If you're experiencing pain or other symptoms in the area behind your knee, it's important to discuss this with your oncologist. They can order imaging tests like X-rays, bone scans, CT scans, or MRIs to check for any metastases and determine the best course of treatment.
