I'm already taking B12 injections, calcium with vitamin D3 and glucosamine chondroitin. But feel like my magnesium is low and possibly my iron.

Don’t take a multivitamin that has folate or folic acid in it. (b9) this also promotes cell division

Do not do B12!!!! It directly promotes growth of both healthy and cancer cells. Absolutely contraindicated. Remember, what’s good for a healthy person is not always good for a cancer patient. Magnesium is fine. Iron only if ferritine is low on blood test and then never IV iron. Best iron bisglycinate every other day. Iron also feeds cancer cells .

It's really important to talk with your healthcare team before adding any new supplements, including a multivitamin. Research has shown that some breast cancer patients taking various supplements during treatment unfortunately had worse outcomes.

Your doctor can test your levels through simple blood work to see if you actually need additional magnesium or iron. This is much safer than guessing, since high levels of some nutrients can actually be harmful.

Since you're already taking several supplements (B12, calcium with D3, and glucosamine chondroitin), adding a multivitamin could potentially lead to taking too much of certain vitamins or minerals. Some nutrients can also interact with your AI medication.

The best approach is to focus on getting nutrients from a balanced diet with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains when possible. Your oncology team can help determine if you truly need additional supplementation and recommend the safest options that won't interfere with your treatment.
