I used aquaphor after each session right at the place... never scarred..

Personally (not a doctor) I would wait until the skin has fully recovered from the radiation.

I've been told by mutiple doctors after multiple surgeries that if I want to use any of the scar reducing creams that it is necessary to wait until the the incisions and skin is 100% healed for at least 4-6 weeks as these creams can irritate new skin growth and any wound that is still open and prolong the healing process. Check with your doctor and see what they have to say about using the scar creams, if the scar creams will help with scars from radiation, and when it would be safe to start.

I also used aquaphor 2x per day and healed. About scar meds I would ask your oncologist.
