I had always had trouble with my periods. Would go through 2 pads before lunchtime. I was 16 then. At 38 years I read about endometrial ablation. I went to the only gynecologist that did this procedure. He examined me with an ultrasound. Unfortunately my endometriosis was the worse case he had seen. He couldn’t guarantee that it wasn’t cancer. I had a hysterectomy and salpingo removal of ovaries and fallopian tubes.The ablation burns or freezes the endometriosis
Anyway being only 38 I was put on HRT. I was on it until I was 58 by my own choice. Big mistake at 70i was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal carcinoma. Thanks to my mammogram it showed it the size of a bb pellet. I had a lumpectomy, radiation and am on a hormone blocker. Sorry such a long reply.if it were me I would have the cryoablation. Back in 2019 when I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and kidney cancer within a 2 week period my nephrologist (kidney doctor) gave me 2 different options. I could have traditional surgery and have half of my kidney removed since the tumor was located in the middle of my kidney. The other option was cryoblation, but there was a catch. If we did cryoblation there wouldn't be anything left to do a biopsy which I felt was really important to do because I had been diagnosed with 3 different cancers in a little over 2 years and needed to know if the kidney cancer was a new cancer or if it was a metastasis from the breast or endometrial cancer.
I ended up having the traditional surgery and they took out about half of my right kidney. The day after surgery when the doctor came to my hospital room to check on me he told me surgery went well. There were clear margins and the tumor looked like a typical cancerous kidney tumor.
The next day my biopsy results came back and the result was unexpected. My doctor told me 90% of kidney tumors are cancerous and they normally just do the surgery and don't do a biopsy beforehand because kidney biopsies are a major production requiring a separate surgery where they have to put you under a general anesthesia. I happened to luck out and be in the 10% of people who have a benign kidney tumor. I never would have known if the tumor was cancerous or not if I had the cryoblation surgery and would have worried forever what kind of cancer was in my kidney and if it would return.
Breasts are a lot different since there is easy access to do a biopsy so cryoblation could be a really good treatment option for women that would otherwise need to have lumpectomy surgery. It will be interesting to hear what happens in the future. Hopefully it becomes a less invasive solution for many breast cancer patients.
I am glad new technology and clinical testing is helping in finding new directions to treat breast cancer.

This would do away with cording and breast lymphedema.
