During chemo I would see my oncologist in person every 3 months and the other months I would have a computer appointment with either the oncologist or her nurse, basically I had some form of follow up every month. When I'm not having chemo I see her in person every 3 months.

I should have mentioned in my above post that I see my oncologist every 3 months because over the almost 9 years I've been dealing with breast cancer I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, followed by 3 recurrences of endometrial cancer, and I was diagnosed with a new breast cancer last year. I never went NED (no evidence of disease) long enough to have my oncology appointments reduced to once every 6 months and then once a year which is the typical schedule if you don't keep having new or returning cancers. I joke with doctors/nurses/physician assistants that I'm a frequent flyer and it's not my 1st rodeo. Some laugh with me and some give me the pity look, but for me humor helps 😄

When in treatment, I had to see them every three weeks, once treatment was over, it was every 3 months for 1 year, then twice a year for the 2nd year, and for years 3,4,5 it was an annual visit. My surgeon had the same schedule.

I see my oncologist every 6 month :)
