Continuing, my question is. Is it unusual to have toothache pain periodically in your arm on treatment side ?
Cathy, Do talk to your onco team. I am 5 years out from radiation and still have sensations at times. Under my arm where node was removed, I sometimes get hours of a sort of sidewalk burn feeling. I still get sharp sudden pain in area of my tumor surgery. And I also have tangeletasia in the area of my tumor removal. No pain with that specific but definitely colorful. 😏 One of the annoying things about treatment is not knowing what to expect when symptoms arise and usually in my experience those symptoms arise on Friday nights when my onco clinic isn't open until Monday. I don't want to talk to the on call onco because it really isn't an emergency. It is just scary and annoying and, dammit, it hurts! Then my oncologist told me that it is most important to report every symptom. It is not a complaint but rather a report. Important thing is to not panic and do not let this keep you from whatever stretching exercise has been recommended to you. I promise gentle stretching does help.

Wish I would have known all this before I had radiation. I’m so upset I couldn’t scream. I hate this pain!!! Can’t sleep. This is not the way to live. My family does NOT understand what I’m going through!!!
