I had a large DCIS (11 cm) in December 2022 removed by lumpectomy, followed by 6 weeks of radiation and daily Aromatase Inhibitors. I had an MRI in September that showed no signs of reoccurrence. I do, however, have a small lump in the same breast, round and hard. I assumed this would have shown up on either my mammogram or MRI. Anyone have anything similar?
Saw my surgeon today. The lump is a seroma, NOT a reoccurrence. Prayers answered. Thank you ladies!
Update . . . Saw my oncologist and was referred to surgeon. Will be seeing her on Friday.
Ditto to everything above! There are a lot of benign situations- but, there is always that chance that it is something more serious. Getting it checked is important- Peace of mind is priceless!! Hugs!
I too agree with Sue—please have it checked out. I also had lumps afterwards and whenever I felt something, I’d have it checked. In my case it was mostly fat necrosis, but you can never know.
And today, now that it has metastasized, when something doesn’t feel right, I’m inquiring.
