It would probably be good to get the appt with the new PS, rather than- if an issue shows up- having to find someone while dealing with something. Hugs!

I had silicon implant reconstruction March 2023. My last visit with the plastic surgeon was Sept 2023. He told me to go back in 5 years (2028).

I would look into another plastic surgeon in case of leakage or other issues. You should establish a relationship just in case you need any modifications or replacement down the road. Perhaps a once a year visit 💗

Dale hi, Virginia gave you great advice it is best to have a plastic surgeon in place. that way you will have met with the new Plastic Doctor and they will have a chance to read your chart on how your reconstruction surgery went and the size. Because you do not want to go to the ER because you are have issues with your silicone implant. Also if you are not having any issues most Plastic Surgeon want you to come for a follow up every 6 months depending on your insurance and you will have access to the new Plastic Doctor's Nurse who may call to check on you and see how you are doing by just talking with you over the phone. I have a left breast silicone implant right now I am being seen weekly to see how I am healing and for my pain level some days my pain level is painful and now it is not as painful as before.

OH. Good to know. It would be great if I didn't need to think about this for several years. Guess it is best to make an appt.with a new PS (since i am do for a checkup now.) and see what they think.
