For metastatic breast cancer (MBC), it's important to work with your oncologist to explore proven treatment options. Current evidence-based treatments for MBC include targeted therapies, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and in some cases surgery or radiation. These treatments are specifically designed to improve quality of Show Full Answer
I have a blood test called a Signatera test every three month. After my double mastectomy I signed a release to have my tumors (2 different in same breast) samples sent to a Natera lab. The Natera team then build a profile using the samples. If cancer comes back I will know right away before it becomes a problem. I have had my regular blood work done twice since January, once in January and once in May, I am due on my next regular physical appointment in the beginning of October. So far liver enzymes have been fine. I know that these repurposed drugs are "suppose" to affect the liver but I've been on them since November 2024 high doses and know low doses since cancer removal. My oncologist at UCLA know's exactly what I am doing and of course he doesn't approve, no money to be made off me. It's ridicules that a cancer patient at any stage is not offered the Natera test for the first year, once a month and perhaps after a year once every three month and so on. This would help in knowing if you have circulating micro cancer cells that have been left in the body, after all isn't that what chemo and radiation are for the first year after tumor removal? I just don't get it! My daughter works in the oncology field and told her dad and I to ask for the Natera test or I would have never know anything about the test, and never thought to ask. My oncologist with a smile on his face, said, Oh! do you know someone in the medical field? at that point I new something was wrong! The oncologist had me lined up for chemo and radiation (appointments set in two weeks) before I could even heal from surgery and think straight, but not once did he mention the Natera test. To be honest I don't trust our medical system. The only thing I regrate is not knowing about the Natera test and the repurposed drugs in 2017 when I was stage 1. I believe I could have avoided a recurrence with a double mastectomy had I know these things were available. Prayers to you Sherry1 ❤️
Thank you so much for your comment. How do you manage obtaining blood tests? Is your doctor supportive of this protocol?
Yes, I am on the Ivermectin and mebendazole protocol. Started November 2024. I continue using these repurposed drugs :) No traditional therapy, so far all is good with no side effects, or cancer. Praying it stays that way :)
