I think these weight loss meds like Ozempic,etc.., can be great for people who really need to lose weight, not for vanities sake. I worry that there's not enough research behind them. My fear is what side-effects and/or damage it will cause on down the road. I pray that nobody gets harmed in this mega-fad. The easy way isn't always the best way. Good luck with your weight loss! Be careful. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic have shown promising results for weight management in breast cancer patients. A 2024 study found that women with early-stage breast cancer who were overweight or obese achieved significant weight loss using these medications.

These medications work by:
โ€ข Making you feel fuller after eating
โ€ข Slowing down food digestion
โ€ข Helping control blood sugar levels Several FDA-approved GLP-1 options are available, including:
โ€ข Semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy)
โ€ข Liraglutide (Saxenda)
โ€ข Tirzepatide (Zepbound)

This is particularly relevant since some breast cancer treatments, especially hormonal therapy, can cause weight gain. However, it's essential to discuss using these medications with your healthcare team to ensure they're appropriate for your specific situation.
