There is another question presently about scans. I don’t understand why insurance companies have such a problem paying for frequent scans versus paying the cost of cancer treatments
At the end of the day it’s cost more treating Breast cancer.

All the scans and tests available don't prevent spread, they only tell you if there is spread. When BC metastasizes it can't be turned back but its always better if found early when small and in one place versus when its more than 2cm and in several places.
@A MyBCTeam Member that is so unbelievable awful. Damn, we can't even count on women to have our backs. We are literally on our own. For a non aggressive woman this can be so bad . Not everyone has the personality to speak up for themselves. Women who tend to be on that quiet side and are too to ask questions or demand, those women MUST take someone who will with them.
More women need to be on the boards of insurance companies. Don’t know if that would change anything. Maybe those positions should require citizens voting .
I am on Medicare and I get all the care I think I need. I have scans every three months ( total nuclear body scan and CT scan with contrast of my lungs, stomach and belly) Signatera blood test once a month, regular blood test once a month, psychology appointment to discuss my mental health every week. Shot for my bones every month. I know I am lucky to live in a big metropolitan area but I am pleased with my treatment.
The cost to treat cancer is astronomical. The price of a scan is nothing in comparison. None of it makes any sense .
