Correction: seed does NOT show SLN. It shows exact location of cancer. I had non-mass so helpful.

Surgery went well. Radiologists showed me images of lymph nodes, clear. Also clear on MRI.

Thanks for good info. Lumpectomy is tomorrow. She is inserting a radioactive seed before surgery so that will trace SLN. So, SLN are routinely checked for cancer cells to see if it has spread? I just asked about lymph nodes. Told usually in younger patients. I'm 81 so she didn't expect to remove any lymph nodes. I will ask before surgery.
