Yes, since lymph node removal, and mastectomy- I think all the sweat on the cancer side was rerouted to the other side- lol!! I can usually get away with the Lume deodorant- it doesn't stop sweat though- if I have to go out and be "sociable"- I use a clinical strength deodorant/anti-perspirant!

Yes, changes in body odor during chemotherapy treatment are actually quite common! Many MyBCTeam members have reported experiencing noticeable changes in body odor, particularly after lymph node removal or breast surgery. Some members have described persistent odors that remain even after showering. Here are some helpful tips to manage this:

• Stay well hydrated before, during, and after infusions
• Try natural deodorants like Crystal Essence or Tom's of Maine (once cleared by your doctor)
• Consider unscented options like Clinique deodorant
• Wear comfortable, breathable clothing during treatments
• Discuss with your healthcare team when it's safe to start using deodorant products

Remember, this is a common experience and nothing to feel embarrassed about. You may need to try different products to find what works best for you.
