With metastatic breast cancer, you are regularly monitored to determine if the disease is progressing or if you are stable and have No Evidence of Active Disease (NEADS) or are in remission. I had NEADS for two years, but currently, I have small nodules in my otherwise healthy liver. With metastatic breast cancer, there are many options available to help maintain your current status or adjust your treatment to achieve NEADS again.

Stage 4 is not curable but can be kept stable for some time

Yes I am in remission. I have been on Kisqali for a couple years now.

There’s no current cure for stage 4 breast cancer, but it can be treated and managed.

Most people with stage 4 breast cancer have alternating periods of disease stability and disease progression.
